SPLICING TAPES (Single sided)
Based on Cellulose, Polyester and Paper for many web splicing applications, including Casting Papers.

1100 / 1112 47 / 57 Cellulose / Rubber 7.5 / 8.0 Butt splicing of packaging papers, films and foils Hand tearable. Good heat and solvent resistance compared to thermoplastic based products. Cellulose carrier is not affected by heat of the thermal wrapping system. 1112 is red, which helps in identifying of the splice. Operating temperature: -15°C to +100°C.

Features: Translucent red with a RR adhesive. Suitable for paper and filmic web splicing.Based on a Cellulose film coated with a strong, red rubber/resin adhesive and provided with a release coat for easier unwind.The tape has been specially designed for a variety of splicing applications on many different substrates. In these applications it offers:

  • Good adhesion.
  • Temperature resistance of up to 130 ° C for short periods, or higher temperatures if the web surface temperature remains relatively low.
  • Easy handling since the film is non-static.
  • Red colour for easy identification of the splice.
  • Hand tearable.

Whilst the tape is not designed to adhere to silicone treated surfaces, it is used by some manufacturers of synthetic leather, using this tape as the top splice on casting papers. It would be suitable primarily for PU synthetic leather production where the temperature requirements are generally around 130-150 ° C.
